AR’s Favourite Vocals: Armand Van Helden feat. Duane Harden

Today sees the start of a new regular feature on the AR Vocal Agency, where we post a favourite vocal track of performance of ours! It wouldn't be right to begin this series with any track other than Armand Van Helden's 'You Don't Know Me', featuring a brilliant vocal topline by Duane Harden. Born from a long held desire to work within the commercial music industry, AR Artist Management was founded by Anna Russell. Having grown up as an amateur singer but professional Top 40 watcher, by the early 2000’s Anna was working in music venues and managing local artists whilst studying for her BA Hons in Popular Music.

Anna’s first job in professional management came in 2007 as one half of Angle Management representing, amongst others, Groove Armada. Her years with the globally successful dance act included work on their own annual festival Lovebox, a groundbreaking partnership with Bacardi – which won countless marketing awards including Music Week’s ‘Music and Brand Partnership of the Year’ 2009 – and their sixth studio album Black Light, released in 2010 and Grammy nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Not to mention various domestic and international tours, countless headline festival appearances, and never-ending Ibiza seasons. One of Anna’s key roles with Groove Armada was sourcing the featured artists for their records and the vocalists who helped make their live show.

Taking this experience, AR Artist Management was set up with the aim to work with quality artists broadly within pop and electronic music. Later, determined to find the perfect way to combine her love of vocals, experience of singing, and the extensive network of singers and songwriters she had built up, the company expanded with the addition of the AR Vocal Agency.

The AR Vocal Agency is proudly the first and only service of its kind in the world, and is now the company’s flagship.
